• Get up early in the morning, take a holy bath, and wear clean and washed clothes.
• Place an idol of Bhagwan Ganesha and give him a holy bath with panchamrit (milk, curd, sugar, honey and ghee).
• Then, light a diya just in front of the idol, apply a tilak of kumkum, and offer sweets (Ganesh ji’s favourite laddoo and modak) and yellow vermillion.
• Bring durva grass (sacred grass), Bhagwan Ganesh’s favourite herb, to offer him.
• Recite the Bindayak Katha (Bhagwan Ganesh Katha) and perform Aarti
• Go to the temple and offer laddoo and modak bhog to Bhagwan Ganesha.
• Offer the bhog to Bhagwan Ganesh, and later have the prasad and distribute it to other devotees.
• After offering bhog prasad to Ganesha Ji, you must offer water (Arghya) to the moon before breaking their Sankashti fast.
