In the Hindu epic, Mahabharata, Lord Krishna helped Arjuna with valuable advice on how to reach his goals. Obviously, Arjuna was hesitating to fight a war against his own relatives though he was a skilled warrior. Lord Krishna was Arjuna’s charioteer. For example, you need to train regularly and diligently, if your goal is to become a professional athlete. Time and effort need to be put into improving your skills and developing your physical fitness. Consistent action toward your goal will help make progress and eventually achieve it.

3. Detached Attitude:

A detached attitude is the third way to reach your goal. Lord Krishna advises Arjuna to be detached from the outcome of the battle. He says that success and failure should not affect one’s sense of self as both are temporary. Similarly, you need to have a detached attitude towards them, if you want to achieve your goals.

For example, if your goal is to get a promotion at work, you should do your best without getting too attached to the outcome. You should learn from your mistakes and be ready to accept failure. Having a detached attitude towards your goals will help you to stay focused on the present moment.
