How do I check the quality of Ek Mukhi Rudraksha?

Since Ek Mukhi Rudraskhas are the most sought-after, it is very important that you have the original rudraksha. You can differentiate between the original and the inferior by doing these tests:

• One of the most common tests people do is to place the bead in a glass of water. If it is a high-quality bead, it will settle down at the bottom of the glass; however, if it is an inferior-quality bead, it will float on the surface only.
• Also, you can hold the bead against any source of light and if there are any visible cracks, you can sport them.
• You can also scientifically check them; all you need to do is place them under a microscope or even use an X-ray method and look at the internal structure.
• Also, one can examine the colour of the bead, when a bead is dyed, it usually has a uniform colour. And good quality Ek Mukhi will have sharp edges on one of the ends and the Mukhi lines will run from head to tail without interruption. 
• Nowadays, there are seeds such as Badraksh which look similar to Ek Mukhi Rudraksha and it can be really difficult for you to differentiate. So, it is advised you get your Ek Mukhi Rudraksha from some trusted source.
