• Make a threshold at the main door; the bottom of the doorway should have a little strip of wood or stone (usually like chaukhat during earlier times); it saves you from loss of wealth.

• According to Vastu Shastra, the main door of your home should not directly face the main entrance of another home.
• Do not use black paint on the main door.
• Do not keep shoes in front of main entrance; should be kept to the side.
• Never keep garbage bins near the main entrance, as they release negative energy.
• Your entrance door should not directly face a compound wall.
• Underground tanks, septic tanks, etc. under a home’s main door should be avoided.
